It’s only until recently that Internet marketers all over started realizing the traffic generating power of this social networking/micro-logging tool we know as Twitter. Make no mistake, Twitter is a fantastic tool to get tons of traffic, but there specific rules to follow to get success in it, as with other social networking sites:

1. Don’t Sell!

Don’t pitch anything heavily on Twitter. Sure, maybe you can do it once in a while with a small link to your sales page, but do it like only 1 out of every 30 posts. You do want to heavily pitch products here to your friends, because it’s rude and not in line in with the social etiquette of sites like Twitter.
